| Position Summary: The Web Content Technologist is responsible for quickly and accurately transposing supplier information and technical product specifications into our database. Additional responsibilities include training and mentoring new and existing part time employees. |
|
Principal Responsibilities:
- Quickly and accurately extract supplier technical product information for the GlobalSpec database
- Perform database maintenance as product information becomes available
- Mapping of content between different electronic databases.
- Help sales & customer support as necessary to keep customers satisfied.
- Quality check supplier information and product databases.
- Test the operation and functionality of GlobalSpec.com websites.
- Mentor and assist in the training of team members
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements/Skill Specifications:
Education:
- Technical/engineering knowledge required
- AAS, BS in Engineering, or Sciences preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Web/Database Content and/or related technical experience
Skills:
- Written and oral communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Strong electronic content manipulation and transformation skills
