ABB's New AL Contactor series allows direct coil switching by most PLC outputs. Permanent magnets aid in contact transfer allowing coil power consumption as low as 2.4 watts. The contacts are rated from 9 to 45 A; or 5 to 30 Hp at 480 V AC. The AL series is a perfect choice for the growing Automation Market.
Permanent magnets aid the closing of the contactor; lowering power consumption: 3W NL & AL9, AL12, & AL16
* 3.5W AL26, AL30 & AL40
* 2.4W AL9Z, AL12Z & AL16Z (24 and 48VDC coil voltage only)
