AGI the automation specialists have launched miniature pneumatic mini finger gripper with a focus on high levels of precision. AGPM miniature parallel pneumatic grippers is aimed at the electronics and packaging industries in small parts handling, assembly applications and multiple part placement.

The new parallel mini grippers offer high accuracy and repeatability with fast actuation while compact dimensions permit installation in small spaces, with a foot print less than one square inch (.768 x .630 x .945) exactly, a stroke of .190 inch and 4 lbs gripping force at 80 psi.

One of the most important features is the optional manifold from the mounting surface, this eliminates airlines on the outside, and allows the units to be ganged up next to each other with out any space between them for multiple part handling. Precision is assured with the use of t-slot bearing guides to deliver high moment loading and accuracy. Faster cycle rates are obtainable with a closing time of less than 0.1 second. The exceptionally small micro parallel grippers are a further addition to the AGI's handling range that allows complete pick and place system solutions to be selected from standard catalog items.
