To make it easy for users to operate conventional, servo-electric lathes, AMK has developed cycle control for lathes. This system is based on the AMKAMAC compact controller - an operator panel and PLC combined in a single incredibly compact unit.

The simple user interface, which features graphical support, soft keys and menu guidance, facilitates easy, workshop-oriented programming. As no abstract programming languages, codes or commands are used, the operator does not need to have any knowledge of programming languages. The only specifications that have to be entered are the dimensions (taken from the technical drawings) and the key data relating to the spindle, workpiece coordinate system, cycle, feeds, etc. Once these selections have been made, efficient production of lathed parts can commence immediately.

Technical Data

The cycle control unit can be used in conjunction with AMKASYN KE/KW servo inverters or with AMKASMART IDT integrated motors. The cost-effective, workshop oriented programming, together with a high-precision drive system, taps into enormous potential savings for machine manufacturers.
