Acemade Group Ltd. - Disc Shape Ferrite Magnets

Print Print
See Product Details

Sintered ferrite magnets are composed of barium or strontium ferrite and manufactured with ceramic processing technology. They are very hard and brittle which requires professional and specialized machining techniques. Popular for a wide range of low cost applications.

A special form of fully dense sintered ferrite magnets is produced using flexible binder for the ferrite powder, These material are commonly referred to as "Flexible Magnets".

Key Benefits

• Inexpensive at medium to low magnetic strength.
• Can be magnetized with multiple poles on one or both pole surfaces.
• High coercive force.
• Working temperature is up to 4500C.
• Good resistance to demagnetization.
• Does not rust, no surface treatment required.

Key Challenge

• Very hard and brittle
• Limited to simple size
• Expensive mold charge
• Properties degrade linearly with temperature, at 3500F,about 75% of room temperature magnetization is retained, and at 5500F, about 50% is retained
