Optical windows are used in applications where it is necessary to isolate different environments while allowing light to pass through. When purchasing a window, it is important to consider the properties of the material as well as the requirements for size, transmission and the wavelength range in which the window will be used. Advanced Optics manufactures two grades of windows (precision and commercial) to meet various demanding applications.

Our double sided optical flats also make excellent optical windows. Advanced Optics manufactures optical flats (windows) made of various materials with surface accuracy up to 1/20 wave. Our windows may be ordered either uncoated or with an anti-reflective coating. In addition to our standard precision grade optical windows we also manufacture custom optical windows.

For a lower cost alternative, when ultra-high precision optics are not required, Advanced Optics offers commercial grade windows which are flat 1-3 waves per inch. As with our precision grade windows, our commercial grade windows are available either coated or uncoated, offered in a variety of materials and are available either off-the-shelf or can be made to your specifications.
