Specifications: Basic System

• Work zone - 4" dia by 4" high, 100 mm dia by 100mm high, for maximum temperature and pressure. Removable insulation liner increases work zone size to 6" dia. by 6" for operating at lower temperatures and pressures. Bottom cover lowers and swings out for easy access load. Insulation contained in inverted can for high efficiency.
  

• Hot zone materials: Graphite element and insulation.
  

• Maximum temperature: Graphite - 2200°C (4000°F) at 2500 PSI
  

• Vacuum Pump: 10 CFM, two stage, vacuum to 20 microns,
  manual vacuum valve, air release valve.
  Convectron vacuum gauge with setpoint.
  

• Gas Manifolds:
  Low Pressure Manifold: Gas backfill with flow meter
  High Pressure Manifold: Gas inlet and exhaust valves with flow adjust, safety pressure relief and pressure gauge.
  

• Thermocouple: Type C, two each for control and overtemperature
  

• Power Supply: 20 kW, two zones of heating, operating on 240 volt single phase.
  

• Controls:
  ACE™ Control/Data Acquisition System: PC computer, color graphic monitor, and floppy disc and hard drive for data and multiple program storage. PLC and I/O's for full program control of temperature, pressure, vacuum, events, interlocks and alarms, manual and automatic operation. Multiple screen display of equipment and process status, program parameters and alarm messages. Data logged to disc for real or historical display on screen or hard copy printout.

• Cooling water: 4 GPM for high temperatures and long runs.
  

• Vacuum Pump: 10 CFM two stage pump for 20 micron vacuum level.

Engineering Start-up
