AeroGo® Gapmaster utilizes a specially developed perforated membrane to meter the rate of airflow to the Aero-Caster and permit optimum movement of heavy loads across steps and gaps in floors. Because the load is actually floating over the surface, the membrane's metering action prevents rapid outflow of air and the potential for floor damage is substantially reduced.
The Gapmaster Aero-Caster utilizes the air caster principle. Compressed air is pumped into the circular air caster diaphragm and center plenum chamber. When the air pressure in the air caster plenum chamber exceeds the weight of the load, air slowly and evenly escapes between the flexible air caster membrane and the surface to create a thin, nearly frictionless cushion of air .003 to .005 inches thick.
Typical Gapmaster Applications:
Autoclave loading
Cleanrooms
Elevators – moving loads in and out
Entertainment industry (stage sets, theatre seating)
Extraordinarily expensive machinery moves
Lift or turn tables
Machine dies over t-slots
Machine tool beds
Pit covers
Raised Flooring
Semiconductor assembly
Wood floors
