Litz wire inductors are constructed from very fine, insulated strands of wire which prevents eddy currents from circulating through the combined wires cross section, thereby increasing efficiency of the inductor and substantially lessening power loss caused by "skin effect".

At Agile, our technicians typically use polyurethane coated Litz wire in the manufacture of your inductors. We often select polyurethane due to its minimal electrical losses and compatibility with solder.
