1 ¼ INCH BORE AIRPEL® ANTI-STICTION® AIR CYLINDER OFFERS HEAVY DUTY PERFORMANCE WITH A GENTLE TOUCH

The metric model M32 addition to the Airpel line from Airpot Corporation can provide up to 185 pounds of output force yet respond smoothly to pressures as low as 0.5 psi. With friction levels typically less than 2% of the load, the Airpel is ideally suited for applications requiring precise pneumatic force control such as delicate tensioning, counterbalancing linear motor driven loads, applying a consistently smooth force throughout a stroke to achieve a desired velocity, and many other applications that require sensitive response, precision, long life, cleanliness, and repeatability.

The black anodized aluminum outer cylinder encases a selectively matched Pyrex inner cylinder and graphite piston that provide smooth motion for millions of cycles. This instrument quality, double-acting air cylinder uses no lubricants or interference fit seals and can operate through a temperature range of –55° C to + 150° C with no change in performance. The stainless steel connecting rod and hose fitting ports are tapped M5x0.8. Flush mount units have M6x1.0 mounting holes at both end faces, and a rear pivot mount model is also offered. All models are available from stock in strokes from 12.5mm to 100mm and custom lengths can be provided upon request.
