PMC Mezzanine Cards Dramatically Expand Your System's Data Capture
AbilityNASHUA, NH (September 14, 2001) – PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC) are a flexible, efficient and low cost means of expanding your system's functionality. Alacron announces the release of two new PMC interface daughtercards that expand your system's functionality in the analog data acquisition arena. The Fast4, FastI/O and FastMem cards allow system engineers the flexibility to address real-time DSP/Imaging scalability requirements without redesign. On any computing platform, the performance, power and price of each PMC card makes them a viable alternative for a wide variety of framegrabbing, buffering, and DSP applications on different computing platforms.
The FastVGA PMC card answers the need for significantly increased analog data acquisition in a system without redesign. The Fast VGA has four 24 bit muxed inputs for real time capture from up to four SXGA or RGB sources. In addition the conversion uses a 140 MHz converter with a 500 MHz analog sampling rate to accurately capture 1280X1024 24 bit pixels up to 75 HZ. The FastVGA provides a 32-bit wide side-band bus connection to facilitate fast data transfers to and from the host board. PCI peak DMA transfer rate is 132 MB/sec with 120 MB/sec sustained.
