An economical solution for de-watering industrial waters, the Micro-Klean is an easy to operate filter press system, which removes solids from wastewater and produces clean effluent.
The Alar Micro-Klean Filter is a self-contained de-watering system for a variety of applications. Optionally, the chemical treatment portion of the process can be controlled automatically by the system.
Prior to filtration, and if needed, wastewater is chemically treated. On the manual version of the Micro-Klean, the operator fills and charges the treatment tank, chemically treats the waste, and starts the filter press. The automatic version adds chemicals in the correct amounts and rate, adds wastewater as needed to the treatment tank, and starts the filtration process without the need for operator intervention.
Once chemically treated, the effluent is pumped into the Micro-Klean filter press. The filter plate captures the suspended solids while the liquid passes through the filter for sewer discharge or recycling back to the plant.
When the filtration cycle is complete, the solids are purged with air for approximately 20 minutes. The operator then retracts the hydraulic ram and separates the filter plates to release the dry solids which fall into the supplied dumpster.
The Micro-Klean filter press is available in several different configurations ranging from 4 to 20 cubic feet of filtration.
