The SMP connector has a subminiature interface, similar to MMCX in scale but working at higher frequency. Though ideally to DC-40 GHz, it is acknowledged most SMP connectors are used under 12GHz for applications nowadays. Aliner SMP series is developed to satisfy in this specific range with same high reliability in quality & design plus competitive cost to echo to real market demands.

Aliner SMP connector is an ultra miniature design, blindmate and provides excellent vibration and shock performance; it also allows axial and radial misalignments. Particularly suitable for high density and performance critical devices, Aliner SMP connectors are available for varied cable groups including regular RG cables and semi-flex & semi-rigid cables. .

With a snap-on configuration, Aliner SMP provides 3 levels of retention from the connectors with male center contact:

- Full detent: positive locking with a maximum retention

- Limited detent: positive locking with a medium retention

- Smooth bore: the lowest retention
