ALSTOM Power understands the need for speed in supplying replacement products for power plant equipment. This is especially true for boiler pressure parts as the inability to replace failed or deteriorating tubing quickly, can lead to expensive downtime. It is the reason we maintain the industry's largest stock of boiler tubing – over 2,000,000 feet across 2,000 specifications. It is also why we have the most manufacturing capacity with a network of ALSTOM Power facilities and supply partners.

Two Tiered Program

The Fastubes Stock Bend Program provides plant operators with two levels of security to enable timely delivery of needed pressure parts. The Program can be applied to superheater, reheater, economizer, and waterwall circuitry.

Level I Program

This level establishes an identification system for bends located within the selected steam and water circuits. All like bends are given unique part numbers to simplify and accelerate the identification, order, and delivery processes for the customer and ALSTOM Power.

As part of the program we provide an arrangement drawing (see reverse side for depiction) showing all bend locations with their corresponding part numbers and quantities for the entire unit.

Fabrication drawings for the stock bends are made before any need arises. Once called for, manufacture begins almost immediately and replacement tubes are quickly on their way to the plant, minimizing downtime.

Level II Program

With this program the customer also receives drawings identifying the bends. Using this tool and analyzing bend usage patterns, the customer determines a representative number of bends for fabrication by ALSTOM Power and placement into the plant's inventory.

The required Stock Bends are fabricated ahead of time in economical quantities and within standard production times, resulting in prices that are lower than if fabricated on an emergency basis.
