EMI/RFI Testing

Disturbance Voltage and Power [ Emission ] Testing is carried out in a shielded room [ Faraday Cage ]. In this environment electric and magnetic influences can be largely eliminated.. To create productive results, test equipment conforming to the standards are required. Only standard approved and calibrated equipment can be used for EMC testing.

Radiated Disturbance [ Emission ]. Electromagnetic radiated Energy, radiated from buildings, cables or metallic objects and housings can be eliminated by suitable components and /or additional shielding.

Immunity: In the past, immunity tests have been conducted with the actual radio noise from motors, ignition coils etc. To determine a good test concept, the appliance manufacturer had to rely on his past experience. During the last years, groups of specialists have developed conditions and test equipment to create a new bases for testing to produce satisfactory results.
