The unique 9830-HCF float design uses HF capacitance to continuously monitor the upper surface of the water. The float allows the sensor to follow the water level changes typical of industrial sump and containment applications.

As oil enters the sump, it will separate to the water surface. The sensor tracks the dielectric change as the water is displaced. The signal change intiates the relay alarm at the remote control unit.

All types of oils (petroleum, vegetable, animal) can be monitored. The unit alarms at about 6mm (1/4") of oil.

Other models are available where greater accumulations are reuqired or where the containment is being used as an oil/water separator.
