Asahi/America, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic valves and piping systems, has developed a new transition union to easily change over from an existing ABS compressed air piping system to Asahi/America's specially formulated PE100 Air-Pro™ compressed air piping system, without taking down the entire line.
ABS systems can break down over time when exposed to many of the mineral and synthetic compressor oils commonly used today. These failures result in costly plant down times, and require immediate action. Asahi/America's new ABS to Air Pro™ Transition Union allows for fast, easy replacement of damaged or failing sections of an ABS line with Asahi's more reliable Air-Pro™ piping system. With no long solvent cement cure times, quick installation time, and ability to bring a system to full pressure within 20 minutes, Air Pro™ is the fastest and most reliable compressed air piping system available today. Air Pro™, which is impervious to both synthetic and mineral compressor oils, is also the only PE100 piping system that is Cal-OSHA approved for compressed air applications. Air-Pro™ also carries a full application warranty from the manufacturer.
Developed and manufactured by Asahi/America in their Malden, Massachusetts facility, the ABS to PE100 Air-Pro™ Transition Union is made from a combination of high grade black ABS and a specially formulated PE100 resin. It is available in 1/2" through 2" nominal pipe sizes.
