Product Announcement from Avago Technologies
The MGA-634P8 is the latest addition to Avago's already impressive family of ultra low
noise, high gain, high linearity Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) low noise amplifiers (LNA) product
portfolio, designed to be used as first stage LNA of cellular base station transceiver radio
cards, tower mounted amplifiers (TMA), combiners, repeaters and remote/digital radio
heads.
The MGA-634P8 delivers ultra low noise and high gain achieved through the use of Avago
Technologies' proprietary 0.25um GaAs Enhancement-mode pHEMT process. All three
Active Bias LNA devices are housed in a miniature 2.0 x 2.0 x 0.85 mm surface mount 8-
lead QFN package. The compact footprint and common PCB layout across different
frequency range from 450MHz to 4000MHz coupled with ultra-low noise and high gain &
high linearity make them ideal choices as a low noise amplifier for cellular (LTE, GSM,
CDMA, WCDMA, CDMA2000 & TD-SCDMA) infrastructure applications.
The MGA-634P8 are designed for single ended low noise amplifier, typically found in the front end of the cellular base stations such as
TMAs, combiners, transceiver radio cards, etc. MGA-634P8 is equipped with Ultra Low Noise Figure, High Gain and High Linearity
performance which are critical for front end applications of the cellular base stations. At the typical operating condition of 5V and 51mA, the
MGA-634P8 delivers outstanding performance with a 0.48dB Noise Figure, 17.8dB Gain, 35.0dBm Output 3rd Order Intercept Point (OIP3),
and 21dBm Output Power at 1dB compress point (P1dB) at 1900MHz. In addition, the MGA-633P8 also comes with an adjustable current
feature which enables the flexibility of performance adjustment to meet various design needs.
