Balluff offers two main types of laser sensors for detection: Class I and Class II lasers. Class I laser sensors are economical and provide maximum protection against eye damage if exposure occurs for prolonged periods of time. No precaution identification is required. The Class II laser sensors offers maximum precision and greater sensing distances, requiring some safety precautions in areas that can be reflected or directed to a person's eye. A laser precaution sticker should be used when using a Class II laser sensor.
Our wide range of laser sensors, include:
- Housing styles: tubular, block, fork and L-shaped.
- Housing sizes: starting from 32mm up.
- Sensing modes: thru-beam, retroreflective, diffuse and diffuse with background suppression.
