The VeriSens vision sensors product family is expanding. Baumer's VeriSens range provides the most user-friendly vision sensors on the market, combined with powerful tools for the inspection of part completeness, part presence, part location and correct positioning. In addition to the well-established VeriSens 1000 Series and its comprehensive functions, the 500 Series is being launched as a product to cover entry level requirements. The more advanced 1200 Series models are devices that have the benefit of a communications interface. In addition to brightness control and contrast inspection, even the CMOS-sensor-based 500 series offers powerful contour-based analysis and simple position correction functions. Using these tools, basic inspection tasks can be performed by staff who do not need any special training. The 1200 Series permits the transmitting and receiving of VeriSens results which are also calculated by the powerful 1000 Series using an RS485 interface. In addition to the data transfer feature, the 1200 Series has the option of copying and switching up to 255 jobs during real-time operation of the sensor. Configurable teaching inputs are available too, so that the teach-in of new objects and of new reference values can be carried out when there is a change in production. For applications in really challenging environments, as are typically found in process automation, versions of VeriSens in stainless steel housing, offering IP69 class of protection, are also available. The new products are completed by the introduction of new illumination methods, which further increase the potential of VeriSens for solving applications in the field of automation technology. more about Baumer VeriSens Download VeriSens Technical Essay
