Bayside offers a wide selection of servo amplifier products to integrate with its diverse product line of rotary and linear servo motors. The rack mountable 3U chassis was specifically designed with OEM in mind - for flexibility, ease of maintenance and trouble shooting in a multi-axis environment.
The chassis can accommodate up to four 3U amplifiers and interface to a variety of third party controllers on the market today. The chassis has a uniquely designed personality backplane which reduces the cost of integration and increases the reliability of the system by preconfigured routing of signals using proper grounding and shielding methods. The connectivity to the mechanical stages always remains the same via predefined, separate transducer and motor power connections.
The amplifier options in the 3U chassis vary from linear to PWM (20 KHz) type for both the brush or brushless servos with either Hall effect (trapezoidal) or software commutation (sinusoidal). PWM amplifiers are best suited for applications requiring high continuous power. Linear amplifiers are recommended for applications requiring constant velocity and where electrical noise cannot be tolerated.
