Highly applicable for employment in demanding telecom, networking, and wireless applications requiring high current, low voltage and fast transient-response times, Bel's GALW9V647 power module has an operating efficiency of 93.5% at full load, and 94.5% at half load. The dc-dc converter features a wide input voltage range from 36 to 75 VDC and a single isolated output of 9.6 VDC. Output current is rated up to 47 A, while line and load regulation is +/- 0.2% and 2% respectively. Setpoint accuracy is +/- 5%.
Offering full protection features, the GALW9V647 provides under voltage lockout with hysteresis to prevent false starting and stopping at low input voltages, and over temperature, over current and over voltage protection. The THT module also boasts output voltage trim adjustment, a two-stage input filter, and primary side on/off. It operates over a wide, ambient temperature range of –40° C to + 100° C, and carries a full set of international safely approvals, including EN60950 and UL/cUL60950.
