Belimo's mission is to always improve, upgrade and create new innovations; we introduce our new line of Ductile Iron Butterfly Valves – the HD Series.

Our new ductile iron cast body provides a stronger construction ensuring performance and reliable operation of the valves. We have also upgraded some of the internal components. We have added a bushing and Oring for additional tertiary sealing; weep holes to the ISO5211 flange for condensation relief if required. External features include a black epoxy powder coating providing durability and corrosion resistance and improved tagging for easier identification.

The product nomenclature will change only in regards to the HS changing to HD keeping it simple for ordering (ex. F6300HS becomes F6300HD, F7100HSU becomes F7100HDU). Pricing will also remain the same as listed in 2009 Product Guide and Price List.

The cast iron HS/HSU series of butterfly valves will phase out and transition to our new ductile iron HD/HDU series. The HD/HDU series in sizes 2" through 12" will be phased in on December 1st 2009. The 14" through 30" will be phased in on April 1st, 2010.

Application These valves are designed to meet the needs of HVAC and Commercial applications requiring positive shut-off for liquids at higher pressures and temperatures. Typical applications include chiller isolation, cooling tower isolation, change-over systems, large air handler coil control, bypass and process control applications. The large Cv values provide for an economical control valve solution for larger flow applications.
