Ideal for extreme ambient conditions

NEMA 4X actuators are corrosion resistant and weather tight under the harshest conditions including rooftop applications, indoor swimming pools, wood drying kilns, agriculture and food industries. The housing provides internal space for customer installed components such as a relay or controller. For high humidity or low temperature (-40°F) applications, a heater with controller can be supplied with the NEMA 4X actuator.

Reliability and a long service life

NEMA 4X actuators are available for air dampers and characterized control valves. For damper applications a standard 316L stainless steel clamp ensures long-lasting coupling. Direct coupled actuators and valves are often subject to aggressive gases, moisture, excessive dust build-up, severe cold, and UV radiation. All of these conditions can shorten service life. For these reasons, Belimo has developed a high quality housing that ensures protection and meets rigid UL Type 4X, IP66/67 requirements.
