Nickel Alloys

Nickel Alloys

Bellman-Melcor offers a wide variety of high-purity nickel alloys for your unique brazing applications. The following is a list of the alloys they offer. Choose from paste, powder, tape and in many cases, foil.

BM 1925-N AWS BNi-1 AMS 4775
Composition:
Ni = Bal
Cr = 14.0
Fe = 4.5
Si = 4.5
B = 3.1
C = 0.7
Melt Point = 1870°F / 1021°C
Flow Point = 1925°F / 1052°C
Applications: Corrosion resistant; good strength at high temperatures. For joining corrosion and heat resistant alloys under high stress.

BM 1970-N AWS BNi-1a AMS 4776
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Cr = 14.0
Fe = 4.5
Si = 4.5
B = 3.1
Melt Point = 1790°F / 977°C
Flow Point = 1970°F / 1077°C
Applications: Excellent for wide gap applications. With lower carbon than BM 1925, the formation of carbides is reduced.

BM 1830-N AWS BNi-2 AMS 4777
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Cr = 7.0
Si = 4.1
Fe = 3.0
B = 3.0
Melt Point = 1780°F / 971°C
Flow Point = 1830°F / 999°C
Applications: Good general purpose alloy for joining non-ferrous alloys, steels, and thin sections such as heat exchangers and honeycomb components.

BM 1900-N AWS BNi-3 AMS 4778
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Si = 4.5
B = 2.9
Melt Point = 1800°F / 982°C
Flow Point = 1900°F / 1037°C
Applications: Free flowing alloy suitable for tight joint designs.

BM 1950-N AWS BNi-4 AMS 4779
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Si = 3.5
B = 1.9
Melt Point = 1800°F / 982°C
Flow Point = 1950°F / 1066°C
Applications: Wide melting range with low diffusion. Good for applications with wide gap joints.

BM 2075-N AWS BNi-5 AMS 4782
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Cr = 19.0
Si = 10
Melt Point = 1975°F / 1080°C
Flow Point = 2075°F / 1135°C
Applications: A boron-free alloy with good fluidity. Offers low base metal erosion. Use on corrosion and heat resistant base metals.

BM 1610-N AWS BNi-6
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
P = 11.0
Melt Point = 1610°F / 875°C
Flow Point = 1610°F / 875°C
Applications: Very free flowing alloy and low melt temperature. Works well in poor atmospheres. Common automotive alloy.

BM 1630-N AWS BNi-7
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Cr = 14.0
P = 10.0
Melt Point = 1630°F / 890°C
Flow Point = 1630°F / 890°C
Applications: Free flowing and low melt temperature. Low solubility makes it ideal for thin materials such as honeycombs and thin walled tubing.

BM 1850-N AWS BNi-8
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Mn = 23.0
Si = 7.0
Cu = 4.5
Melt Point = 1800 °F / 982°C
Flow Point = 1850 °F / 1010°C
Applications: For stainless, low-carbon steel, nickel and cobalt alloys. Excellent flow. Good for repair of cracks in existing braze joints.

BM 1925-N AWS BNi-9
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Cr = 15.0
B = 3.6
Melt Point = 1870°F / 1021°C
Flow Point = 1925°F / 1052°C
Applications: Silicon free - for stainless steel and aircraft engine components. Suitable for diffusion brazing.

BM 2015-N
Composition:
Ni = Bal.
Cu = 97.0
Melt Point = 1980°F / 1089°C
