We are pleased to announce that we have introduced a new web site for ADwin real-time data acquisition and control systems. The new site contains expanded product information for all of the ADwin systems including the new ADwin-Gold II and ADwin-Pro II. There is also more information on the system hardware and software architecture, applications and an expanded download section with product manuals and software.

ADwin systems are ideal for applications that require precise, deterministic timing. They utilize a local DSP processor to achieve response times of as little as 300 nsec. ADwin systems are used around the world for fast open and closed-loop controllers, signal generators, measurement equipment, machine control, electron and ion beam deflection, production measurement systems, microscopes, functional testers for control units and components, test benches, quality test equipment, process controls and laser beam controllers.

ADwin systems are available as plug in boards and external modules and come in 3 different models:

• ADwin-light-16 - 8 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 6 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs and 2 counters.
• ADwin-Gold and Gold II - 16 analog inputs, up to 8 analog outputs, 32 digital I/O channels and 1 counter
• ADwin-Pro and Pro II - Modular system with up to 480 analog inputs, analog outputs, digital channels or a combination of these.

There are also a number of expansion options including CANbus and serial interfaces, counters and other I/O modules.

ADwin systems utilize either USB or Ethernet to communicate with a host PC running either Microsoft Windows or Linux. Driver software provided with the systems allows transparent data sharing between the PC and the ADwin system. The user is free to develop the PC part of their application in any one of a variety of languages including Basic, C, Java, Labview or others.
