Stuttgart, Germany, June 23, 2014 – With the introduction of 24-Bit ScanMasterTM Controller, Cambridge Technology (CTI) provides the most integrated set of scanning technologies available in the market today. When combined with CTI’s industry leading Lightning II products, ScanMasterTM Controller and enhanced ScanMasterTM Software provides the highest system throughput, highest resolution, best accuracy and the easiest job creation. All this is facilitated with the industry’s most versatile system architecture, simplifying connectivity and overall system design.
When powered by Lightning II™, these revolutionary integrated products feature a 24-Bit bi-directional communication bus, state-space servo architecture with high efficiency PWM drive, 24-Bit encoder position-detectors, and optimized scanning mirrors. Driven by ScanMaster™, this most user-friendly subsystem on the market offers innovative ScanPack™ algorithms that enable True 2D Mark-on-the-Fly, True Skywriting, and advanced laser control. In addition, CTI’s new offering provides 3D layering, image tiling, and a streaming job capability. User experience is further enhanced by flexible software interface either through ScanMaster™-API for system integration or ScanMaster™ Designer for job creation.
The combination of Lightning II™ and ScanMaster™ enables reduced cycle time between job-creation and production for glass processing, photovoltaics, via-hole drilling, laser additive manufacturing, remote cutting, and other demanding applications. Users can now obtain enhanced precision using CTI’s 24-bit command resolution, ultra-fast laser synchronization, and adaptive control for constant energy density. With PWM drive and integrated water cooling and active thermal compensation, CTI offers 24/7 reliability. Lastly, productivity and throughput are maximized by CTI’s high-speed digital scanners and nearly zero warm-up time.
