Die Cut Heat Shield

Can-Do National Tape manufactures under the hood heat shield products for the automotive industry. The Company's ISO9001:2000 Quality Certification ensures top quality products.

This particular die cut part is manufactured in a three step process.

• First, aluminum foil is laminated to a high temperature double coated polyester tape product with acrylic adhesive, simultaneous to its lamination to a flame retardent polyester material.
• Then, the jumbo rolls are slit to width on a rewind slitter.
• The final step is a complicated process. A fiberglass aluminum foil laminate material is then laminated to the product manufactured in the first step; and the finished product is die cut in line while the holes (see picture) are air ejected.

These die cut aluminum foil heat shields are used to protect engine components from heat, under the hood of automobiles.
