This foam product is manufactured and assembled by Can-Do National Tape, and it is used as a sound dampening component for the appliance industry. Large jumbo rolls of polyether foam with black polyethylene film laminated to one side are required to produce this product. This material is UL listed and flame retardent. It is then laminated with a double coated polyester tape with a rubber adhesive system. Large pieces of this laminated foam product are die cut. The same material is also slit into rolls which are then score cut into half inch wide strips, six up. These rolls of score cut foam are then sheeted to length. As can be seen in the picture, a thicker material of the same construction is laminated with the same double coated polyester tape with a rubber adhesive system, and this thicker material is die cut on a travelling head press. Parts are hand assembled. The large die cut pieces form the base of the product; the half inch wide strips are attached to the large base; and the thicker die cut foam pieces are also attached, as shown. Sound dampening is the application for this product.
