New V-Series Illuminated Plug -- more than just an indicator light!

Plainville, CT - Carlingswitch, one of the world's leading manufacturers of circuit protection and control equipment, announces their new V-Series Illuminated Plug. This newest addition to the Carlingswitch line compliments the already popular Contura line of sealed V-Series rocker switches and is more than just an indicator light. Used in conjunction with the Contura line of switches, they create an aesthetically pleasing pod or module of switches and lights ideal for any panel.

The V-Series Illuminated plugs can be illuminated with either one or two square lenses, with illumination options including neon, incandescent and 100,000 hour lamp life LEDs. Other options include two-piece snap-in lenses for wear resistant markings and for creating unique effects like "dead front" imaging. In addition, this new illuminated plug offers over 300 standard legends.

The Contura product line matures and evolves with your product development; always offering creative, aesthetically appealing, yet economical, alternatives in dash panel design. With the Contura line of switches and the V-Series illuminated plugs, panel design can be changed simply by snapping on a new style switch, actuator or plug, with limited increase in inventory. Using the same cutout as the Contura line of rocker switches, the new V-Series Illuminated Plug also has a unique panel retention system, which accommodates panel thickness up to 1/2". In addition, a one-piece polarized connector is available which allows simple, economic installation.

The VP-Series illuminated plug provides positive, intuitive recognition of critical panel control functions, contributing to operator safety. It meets the needs of today's off highway, heavy vehicle, marine, appliance and industrial control markets.
