Cat Pumps' industrial strength Block-style triplex liquid handling pumps lend themselves to custom changes and offer added corrosion resistance. The manifolds are machined from solid forged billets that guarantee the best possible metallurgy, close grain structure, enhanced fatigue strength and resistance to attack from aggressive liquids, such as deionised water. This manufacturing technique minimizes porosity and inclusions, while providing fully traceable material certification and controlled internal surface finishes. The standard machined block head is of corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel with optional Duplex and Super-Duplex Stainless Steels, Hastelloy™ and Titanium. Optional seals and o-rings are also available for liquid compatibility.
Special flushed block-Style pumps feature a ported inlet manifold permitting an external flushing liquid that both cools and lubricates the seals. These flushed pumps provide cooling when pumping high-temp liquids, added lubrication when pumping low lubricity liquids or containment of effluent emissions.
There is a wide selection of Block-Style liquid handling pumps from .5 to 60 GPM, and pressures from 100 to 10,000 PSI. The triplex Block-Style design offers the same high energy-efficiency, low-maintenance and continuous-duty, long-life performance common to all Cat Pumps' triplex liquid handling pumps.
