Cat Hydraulic O-rings and O-ring Kits:

Designed specifically for long-term sealing and resistance to compression set in Cat hydraulic systems. Cat O-rings used as face seals in Cat hydraulic fittings have unique seal dimensions and tighter dimensional tolerances than industry standard o-rings. Cat O-ring seal materials are formulated for the specific hydraulic fluids, system pressures, and temperatures found in Cat hydraulic systems. Cat also offers refillable O-ring kits which provide convenience and cost savings.

Cylinders and Rods

Cylinders:

• Bore skived and roller burnished tubes.

These manufacturing processes used by Caterpillar help ensure optimum cylinder performance and seal life by producing the proper bore diameter and surface finish for optimum stability.

• Thick tube walls.

This feature combined with exclusive Cat oversize seals permit worn cylinders to be honed oversize, resulting in multiple cylinder lives.

Rods:

• Inertia welded for added strength.

Friction heat produces a continuous weld adding superior strength to the critical rod/eye joint on most new and Cat Remanufactured Rods.

• Induction hardened for bending and denting resistance.

A unique heat treatment process, used on most new and Cat Remanufactured Rods, adds hardness beneath the surface, extending rod and seal life.
