A new diesel generator set with ACERT™ Technology from Caterpillar provides improved emissions compliance without sacrificing power density or fuel consumption. The rating ranges for this new package include 550 – 600 kW (Standby) and 500 – 545 kW (Prime) in a 60 Hz model, and 550 – 700 kVA (Standby) and 500 – 635 kVA (Prime) in a 50 Hz model, all powered by the new Cat® C18 engine.
Designed for standby, prime and load management applications, the generator set offers the latest in engine design technology. An ADEM™ A4 controller, MEUI fuel system and cross-flow cylinder head comprise the building blocks of ACERT Technology. The generator set features an Air-To-Air After Cooler (ATAAC) cooling system, an advanced EMCP 3 control system, multiple control panel and power connection location options, and enhanced package-mounted circuit breaker options.
The brushless self-excited generator offers a Class H insulation system, IP23 protection, a R448 voltage regulator, and power terminal strip connections. A wide range of factory-installed attachments is available to customize the generator set to meet specific customer application needs.
