Creating a Non-Particulating Surface

Creating a Non-Particulating Surface

Creating a Non-Particulating Surface with Electropolishing

One of the many benefits of Electropolishing is that the Electrolytic Acid bath process is able to create a non-particulating surface. A non-particulating surface is defined as any stainless steel or high nickel-chromium groups that has been Electropolished to a RA of 16 or better. Many industries such as, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, or any other industry that requires high purity control of fluid or gases rely upon Central Electropolishing to meet the low RA requirements that each particular job demands. Central Electropolishing has numerous companies that rely on our expertise in this field, and that number grows everyday. Before a surface is Electropolished the surface is rough and porous to a degree, and in these minute depressions and nicks in the material, particulates may become trapped. Electropolishing smooths the surface so the particulates do not become entrapped. This lowers the resistance and decreases maintenance that makes cleaning the surface easier. Upon request Central Electropolishing includes Certifications and any necessary documentation that your specifications might require.
