CeramTec's in-vacuum ribbon cable assemblies are designed to complement our Sub D Type (MIL-C-24308) hermetic multipin connector product line and therefore cable configurations include 9, 15, or 25 conductor assemblies. Each of the Kapton® wrapped stranded (19 x 0.0063) 22 AWG silver plated copper conductors are woven with a PEEK (polyetheretherketone) monofilament in order to achieve the ribbon cable form. The multistranded wrapped cable offers the most flexible solution and has a temperature range up to 200° C. All ribbon cable assembly materials are ultra-high vacuum (UHV) compatible. The cable assemblies are baked out prior to shipping to minimize any trapped gases.

These in-vacuum ribbon cable assemblies are offered as a "built to order" part number to offer the customer the greatest flexibility. Therefore, you specify the cable you'd like, the length of the cable, and the termination for each end of the cable. CeramTec can then manufacture the custom cable assembly to the specifications that your application requires. Available terminations include cable only (no termination), gold plated female/socket push on contacts, gold plated male/pin crimp contacts, female PEEK plug, or a male PEEK plug.
