Nanogen Index I was published in response to a need for information on all agricultural chemicals and environmental pollutants, including those no longer in use. Since that time the release of polutants to the environment, whether accidental or as a direct result of agricultural, industrial or war activities, has continued to be a matter of grave concern to mankind. Thus the need for this new edition of the Nanogen Index.
The Nanogen Index 2 publication is in use by hundreds of experts and researchers world wide. It is the premiere source of information on agricultural chemicals and environmental contaminants for people who need rapid access to a wide variety of information about a particular chemical. The Index makes it possible to look at a chemical's name(s) and which organizations have approved each name; structure; description of use; trade names and company code numbers; IUPAC and CAS chemical names; CAS registry number; molecular weight; and Wiswesser Line Notation.
Volume 1 contains details on over 3,000 Control Chemicals, arranged in eight sections. "Past" chemicals are those no longer used, as better ones are now available. "Present" chemicals are those currently in use somewhere in the world. "Future" chemicals are recently discovered, recently launched and still under development. The remaining sections cover organometallic and inorganic control chemicals; drugs used in agriculture and food production; other materials used in agriculture and food production; and other environmental contaminants. Also included in Volume 1 is the Alphabetical Index.
Volume 2 includes a chemical name index, Company Code Index by number and by name, chemical abstracts number index and molecular formula index. Many chemicals have several names and the Nanogen Index lists all known names assigned by twenty worldwide approval organizations.
The publication itself, Nanogen Index 2, Volumes 1 & 2, is available for $249. Postage and packaging is an additional $50.
The electronic Update subscription is $450 annually and can be purchased at the same time you order the publication -- or in the future.
