Versatile & Unique
The JET CLEANERS produce instantaneous hot water by mixing steam with water, and by boosting discharge pressure, in addition to heating the water. Chemical additives can also be mixed into the system as required. A range of models cover applications from supplying a single hand-held lance for light duty general cleaning, to single or multiple installations of large capacity tank cleaning heads.
Applications:
Installion & Operation
JET CLEANERS may be installed for operation either by manual control, using manual steam and water shut off valves, or by remote/automatic operation, using actuated steam and water shut off valves, linked to a control unit. Automatic control also allows incorporation of features such as steam shut off if discharge temperature exceeds set level, due to reduction of water supply. An adequate water supply is essential, requiring 2-3 bar pressure at inlet under flow conditions, for full utilization of steam at pressure up to 9-10 bar. Performance characteristics are based on a water temperature of 15°C at inlet to the JET CLEANER. For satisfactory operation this temperature should not exceed 25°C.
New pipework should be thoroughly flushed before connecting the JET CLEANER to avoid blockages or damage to the equipment. If the overflow is piped to a closed drain, ensure that an open tun-dish or equivalent is incorporated near to the JET CLEANER to enable setting up the steam/water balance. Discharge piping may be either fixed via a flexible delivery hose. If connecting the discharge to a hose reel, ensure that a flexible link hose is used, to prevent damage to the hose reel rotary joint from loads imposed by the piping. When using detergents or other chemicals through the JET CLEANER, the additive control valve should be closed first and the unit allowed to flush before shutting down.

Technical Data
Above sizes refer to Jet Cleaner connections, and should be used to size steam and water inlet valves. Supply pipe sizes should also not be less that the above, and for runs of over 15 meters it is advisable to use larger pipe sizes to avoid excessive pressure losses.
