Citel MJ8-2D-ETH surge protector has been designed to protect your 10BaseT/Ethernet equipment against harmful lightning surges and electrical transients.

They utilize a hybrid technology that consists of a heavy duty three element gas tubes and solid state diodes. This state of the art heavy-duty multistage design combines a fast response time (< 1 ns) and a high power handling capability of 10kA (8/20microsec waveform).

They are available for up to two 10 Base T/Ethernet circuits

Automatically reset after each lightning surge or electrical transient. It is maintenance free.

Input/Output connections are made with two female RJ45 jacks for simple plug-and-play installation.

Protects pins 1, 2, 3 & 6 on the RJ45 jack.

Also comes with a 11" ground wire to attach to a chassis ground, a small drop cable and velcro to stick it to the equipment chassis.

Thanks to its extremely low insertion loss, it won't distort the quality of your signal. It is transparent on the line.

They install in series directly behind the equipment to be protected.

Under the most severe conditions, the surge protector will fail short leaving your equipment fully protected.
