Intrinsic safety is considered the safest method of operating electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres. The use of intrinsically safe components is a reliable alternative to explosion-proof enclosures. I.S. systems must use approved solenoids (Clippard's EI series solenoids) and approved intrinsic safety barriers.

The EI Series of valves are offered with manifold and flush mounts. Connections can be made by using an AMP connector, direct wire leads, or wire leads with direct conduit connection. All valves maintain the same electrical operating characteristics.
