Unmanned vehicles provide many operational functions such as airborne surveillance, video transmission, border patrol and tactical systems. In all cases uninterrupted communication to the control centre is vital.
Cobham Antenna Systems (Microwave Antennas) is developing and manufacturing a growing range of antennas suitable for unmanned systems that are cost-effective for the operator, with some antennas already in use in extreme environments. Antennas are mounted on airborne and ground vehicles, robots and drones. Reciprocal antennas for communication systems in command control centres are available.
Our new leaflet for Unmanned Systems antennas is available on our website to download or we can mail you a copy on request.
Two examples of our light weight, high specification, omni-directional aerodynamic, blade antennas:
Left, aerodynamic, omni-directional blade, SBA-900/1249, covering the frequency 0.90 to 0.93 GHz.
Right, blade antenna, HDA-1275/1148, for integration in to wing of target drone, 1.2 to 1.35 GHz.
