The ST4 series, compact Type 4 safety beam sensor offers the perfect solution for machine guarding applications in which the installation of safety light curtains is cost-prohibitive, impossible due to too narrow or too wide space, or simply, not required.

The ST4 series provide 0.1 to 15m (0.328 to 49.213 ft) sensing range to cover from narrow spaces to wide areas where light curtains are hard to install.

Sensor head measures only 14mm W x 31mm H x 28mm D. Series connection of up to 6 units is possible, and the numbers of sensors heads and controllers can be freely adjusted to meet the heights and the required numbers of the protection area.

Conforming to protection structure IP67, the sensor heads can be used safely even at lines where water splashes.

The ST4 series safety beam sensor is available through distribution network of Panasonic Electric Works.
