Conax provides split and double split packing glands for multiple probe sealing. Split glands are used whenever the diameter of the probe tip exceeds the diameter of the surface to be sealed (i.e. cable assemblies with factory assembled connectors). Conax Technologies split glands feature the Conax-designed "soft sealant" technology that uses the compression of a material within a fixed housing to develop a strong seal. The gland is easily assembled and is field adjustable. The sealants can be replaced without requiring the removal of the probe from the system. For use in pressures from vacuum to 10,000 psi (690 bar) and temperature range from -400º F to +1600º F (-240º C to +870º C). Available with Viton, Teflon, Lava and Grafoil sealants. SPG glands seal 1 to 11 elements. DSPG glands seal up to 17 elements. PGS glands seal a single tube, probe or conductor with a larger integral bulb, connector or tip configuration. These are often used in sealing analyzer sampling probes with blow-out collars, gas-filled capillary bulb temperature sensors, cable assemblies with factory-installed connectors (vibration sensors) or sealing of any long-length conductor, simplifying the assembly, disassembly and change out of the sealant.
