Conec Corporation has introduced its new filtered combo D-SUB power connectors with integrated die cast back shell. Filter capacitors are fully integrated into the connector with capacitance ranges of 1.3nF up to 100nF. This filtered power connector has superior voltage characteristics; the standard dielectric withstanding voltage is 707VDC, with a high voltage version of 1020VDC available. Power contacts from 10A to 40A can be incorporated. They are copper alloy and are gold plated with several plating options offered. The contacts are solder cup type and accommodate wire sizes from AWG 16-20 up to AWG 8-10. The power connector features a fully integrated back shell that is die cast and nickel plated adding ruggedness and allows rough handling without any damage to the connector. The connector is UL, CSA and VDE listed. The connector comes in the 5W5 layout configuration and can be supplied with 5 power contacts or can be selectively loaded with fewer contacts.
