New designs utilizing high speed high performance microprocessors, higher levels of integration and more complex functions demand more stringent rules in design and circuit layout to overcome problems as they relate to EMI/RFI.
D-Subminiature connectors, commonly used for interface connectors, do not provide protection from EMI/RFI interference, even when enclosed in shielded hoods. A filter incorporated on the printed circuit board often does not overcome this problem.
CONEC filter connectors are the ideal solution to reduce or eliminate electro magnetic and radio frequency interference ( EMI/RFI ). CONEC manufactures the most complete product line of filter connectors.
The complete series is UL ( E 202784 and CSA ( LR 115000-1 ) ) and VDE approved.

CONEC "C" filter connectors are made with CONEC patented planar filter technology. For special filter requirements such as selective filters. other types of filters can be implemented. CONEC "C" filter connectors are available in the standard D-subminiature format 9 to 50 positions, and in high density format 15 to 78 positions. For detail performance specifications refer to our "C" filter connector series.

CONEC "L" ferrite filter connectors are ideal for applications where a small amount of filtering is required or the elimination of parasitic frequencies. CONEC "L" filter connectors are very cost effective and can be used where high performance filters may not be required. "L" filter connectors are available in the standard D-subminiature format from 9 to 37 positions and in the high density format from 15 to 62 positions. Special types can also be made consult factory. For detail performance specifications refer our "L" filter connector series.

For certain applications it may be necessary to use ferrites and capacitance to achieve the filtering requirements. Conec "LC" filter series of connectors increases the insertion loss by approx. 5 dB depending on the frequency range. The ferrite block is attached externally to the connector contacts. The attachment of the ferrite block does not change the physical size of the connector.
CONEC offers "LC" connectors in the standard D-Subminiature style from 9 to 37 position, male and female types. The high density types are available from 15 to 62 positions. Industry standard footprint .318, .350, .370 and .590 right angle types are available.

CONEC PI filter connectors can be implemented where high performance in high frequency applications are required. CONEC PI filter connectors utility two CONEC patented planar filters and one inductive element. The PI filters provide low impedance at the source and the load. The PI filter connectors provide better performance if compared to C or L type filters. CONEC PI filters are available in adapter, right angle, PC and solder cup configurations. CONEC can also supply customer specific or special design types. For detail performance specifications refer to our PI filter connector series.
