Conoptics, Inc. has introduced the Model 275 linear, high voltage differential amplifier designed to be used with various Conoptics electro-optic modulators. The output of the amplifier is designed to drive the modulator configured as a lumped capacitor. The amplifier is capable of delivering in excess of 275 volts peak to peak into a capacitive load from DC through 8 to 10 MHz depending on modulator total capacitance. The system may also be used as a high frequency electro-optic beam deflector driver, for mastering a variety of different format DVD and CD ROM applications. A DC bias control is also provided to allow positioning of the quiescent operating point of the modulator or as a DC centering adjustment for beam deflector applications. The amplifier requires only 1 volt into 50 Ohms to deliver it's maximum peak to peak output signal to the load.

Conoptics, a market leader in optics and laser accessories.
Since 1981, our engineers have pioneered advancements in the electro-optics field consistently exceeding our customers' expectations. Conoptics is recognized in the photonics field as being committed to delivering excellence by producing the highest quality laser modulation systems, beam deflectors, driver electronics and optical isolators in the industry. Applications for our product line include noise reduction, medical imaging, pulse selection for mode locked lasers, regen switches, disc master, optical trapping, phase shifters, frequency modulation spectroscopy, general shuttering and isolation.
Modulators and Driver Electronics
Conoptics manufactures an extensive line of low voltage electro-optic light modulators, driver electronics, and associated components to satisfy your diverse requirements.
Your application will dictate which versions of modulator and driver electronics you need and what auxiliary components you should use. Most often, the first application requirements considered in the choice of modulation system components are the information bandwidth and waveform requirement. Standard Conoptics products include eight general purpose drivers. Just view that information on the specifications tab to learn the characteristics of standard products and their operating parameters.
Electro-Optic Laser Beam Deflectors
Conoptics' series of electro-optic beam deflectors are the most efficient mechanisms for changing the angle of a laser beam. They can scan a laser beam over a range of angles, or control the output angle of a laser beam with great accuracy. We employ a quadrapole electric field in an electro-optic material to produce a linear refractive index gradient proportional to the applied signal voltage.
Synchronized Switching Systems ensure optimum performance
Conoptics provides a family of products specifically tailored for pulse selection or regenerative amplifier switching systems. With our switching systems, you'll be able to achieve switching rates to tens of MHz and virtually eliminate EMI effects. That's because the low voltage design approach in our modulator driver reduces modulator drive levels by an order of magnitude compared to other methods. Each of our switching systems consists of an optical modulator, a modulator driver, and synchronization electronics.
Noise Eaters - Significantly lowers noise intensity in laser beams.
Reducing the noise intensity in gas lasers is essential for video disc mastering. Our LASS-II (Laser Amplitude Stabilization System) sets a new standard in the industry. You get a state-of-the art electro-optic feedback loop that will significantly improve the signal.
Optical Isolators - 700 Series Faraday Rotators and Accessories
Optical isolators are vital devices for eliminating the undesirable effect of return beams in high-speed optical fiber transmittance routes and amplifiers. Optical isolation also protects your equipment from dangerous ground loops, spikes and surges.
