The included FIT-SVR(W32) software enables these units to be used with programs that supports DDE client functions (i.e. Microsoft Excel or Wonderware InTouch).
These units can be remotely monitored and updated (in both Windows® and non-Windows environments) through the use of the included drivers.

CONTEC's Network Protocol - "F&eIT Protocol"
"F&eIT Protocol" is an original communication protocol used with Contec's UDP/IP-based F&eIT Series. "UDP/IP" is often used in combination with TCP/IP, and requires simpler communication procedures. This high-speed protocol is ideally suited for use in networks that require real-time operation. However, with connectionless protocols, there is a problem of reliability since arrival of incoming data is not confirmed. CONTEC has resolved this problem by adding a response confirmation process to the upper layer of UDP/IP. The result is the "F&eIT Protocol" featuring speed, real-time operation and reliability; proving to be an ideal protocol for industrial device networks.
