PoweTools Pro software

At the heart of the "Motion Made Easy" system is PowerTools Pro motion programming software that provides the fastest application solutions in the automation industry. Most solutions can be implemented by simple selections of pre-defined motion control building blocks without the need for any programming.

Assigning I/O and network communication parameters is simple using drag-and-drop functionality. Hardware and motion functions such as home, jog, gearing and camming are easily configured using plain-text selection windows. Custom user programming is also provided using a text-based motion language that is as easy to read as it is to program. If you don't know the command, just drag it in from the drop-down menu and PowerTools Pro assists you with the syntax. With intuitive software and plenty of online help, programming motion control is truly "Motion Made Easy!"

AC & Servo drives

The Epsilon EP 230V single-phase servo drive family sets the industry standard for drive footprint and features. One of the most compact and versatile servo drives on the market, the easy-to-use Epsilon EP can be used for simple applications such as electronic gearing, but also has a powerful multi-tasking programming environment for the creation of user programs for both motion sequencing and machine logic. The EP-P (Programmable version) is equipped with an Ethernet port to interface with an Ethernet fieldbus networks and download programs created using PowerTools Pro software.

Control Techniques' Digitax ST-Z drives provide 230V 3-phase and 460Vac servo system solutions with all of the benefits of PowerTools Pro software. Digitax ST-Z servo drives accept two snap-in SM Solution Modules for expansion of I/O, network communications and feedback.

Unidrive SP universal AC and servo drives delivers the features of PowerTools Pro when fitted with a SM-EZMotion solutions module and provides motion control of servo and induction motors up to 2,900hp.

Servo motors

To complete the "Motion Made Easy" servo system, Control Techniques offers a complete line of servo motors that can be sized to your application requirements up to 750 lb-in. These motors expand the capabilities of Control Techniques motion systems with their w ide speed, torque and inertia ranges, multiple shaft and flange options, and support for incremental encoders, absolute encoders and resolver motor feedback. Every Control Techniques motor is matched to Epsilon EP, Digitax ST and Unidrive SP drives and to save money through faster installation and commissioning times.
