Moxa's EDS-205 and EDS-208 series of entry-level unmanaged Ethernet switches are low-cost, space-saving solutions. Compared with commercial unmanaged switches, the EDS-205 and EDS-208 series enjoy a high MTBF and are equipped with AC/DC power inputs. These plug-and-play Ethernet switches offer more stability and reliability than commercial switches—perfect for entry-level industrial applications.

The EDS-205 and EDS-208 series switches support IEEE802.3/802.3u/802.3x standards, and come with a multi-mode fiber port (EDS-208 only). They can run on either a 12 to 45 VDC power input or an 18 to 30 VAC power input. Rugged features include IP30 protection, DIN-Rail mounting ability, -10 to 60°C operating temperature range, and broadcast storm protection. The functions and features of the EDS-205 and 208 series make them highly reliable and thus they are suitable for industrial Ethernet applications, such as building automation, machine manufacturing, and factory automation.
