Covega's low coherence broad area laser diodes provide industry leading bandwidth and optical power and are well suited for applications like Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and medical imaging for applications in fields like optical sensing, cardiovascular, dermatology, ophthalmology, etc.

Covega's broad area laser diode is based on a highly efficient InP/InGaAsP Quantum Well (QW) layer structure. Advanced MBE epitaxial wafer growth techniques and die bonding processes enable reliable highpower laser diode operation.

Covega's high power Broad Area Lasers are available from 1450 nm to 1600 nm and are also used for infra-red illumination and metrology equipment for thickness measurement, flatness measurement, etc.

Covega devices are built with strict manufacturing processes controlled using six-sigma processes leading to high yields and repeatability.
