XT Series humidifiers operate efficiently with either unsoftened or softened tap water. XT Series humidifiers are well-suited for operating with unsoftened water because the cylinder can be replaced rather than cleaned when hard water deposits accumulate, requiring minimal maintenance time.

Operating an XT Series humidifier with unsoftened tap water provides all the benefits of humidification without the added expense of a water softener and salt. However, using softened water will extend cylinder life, requiring less frequent cylinder replacement. Consider humidifier usage, water hardness, available water softener capacity, and maintenance preferences when choosing between operating the XT Series humidifier with unsoftened or softened tap water.

So easy to operate
XT Series humidifiers operate automatically. When the humidity level drops, the humidifier fills automatically and makes steam. At the end of humidification season, the humidifier drains automatically after the humidifier has been idle for 72 hours. When the cylinder needs replacing, the control panel displays a message to check the cylinder.
